Entourage: Docktopus Dock Icon
Wooops, it looks like I forgot to mention the new version of Docktopus. The new version now supports Entourage. It means you can have e-mail counts on the icon of Entourage in the Dock (amongst all the other things the app already offers) as you do in Mail. Contact categories / Exchange Sync
If you’re using Exchange, you probably know that every time you rebuild the database or reset the Exchange cache with Entourage 2004, the categories are lost for all your Exchange contacts. A workaround for this problem would be to save the name of the categories to one of the unused custom fields of the contacts (that get synched to Exchange). RadTech
I usually don’t write to advertize a product, but I went to the RadTech booth at MacWorld yesterday and was really impressed. Even though I use a Notebook Screensaverz, the screen of my powerbook (aka: that thing before the MacBook Pro :->) had visible marks from the keyboard itself. Flip4Mac codecs / MS
Well more news on the Flip4Mac codecs… Even though WMP is still available on the MS site, MS now also distributes the Flip4Mac codecs for QuickTime!!! A press release is out on their site. Plus de nouvelles sur Flip4Mac. WP 2.0 is finally out 🙂 Plenty of new features… This site was immediately updated to the new version. You shouldn’t see the slightest difference though, but there are a lot of under the hood improvements. WP 2.0 est enfin sorti 🙂 Tout un tas de nouvelles fonctions. Ce site a immédiatement été mise à jour avec la nouvelle version. Vous ne devriez pas voir la différence, mais il y a une floppée d’améliorations sous le capot.

OmniOutliner 3.0.4 en français
OmniOutliner 3.0.4 vient de sortir et il est maintenant disponible en français :-)) Ce fut un long travail de localisation et une fois encore c’est un réel plaisir de voir l’application enfin disponible. Josy et moi-même avons passé de longues longues heures dessus. Certaines corrections récentes ne sont pas intégrées, amis elles attendront sans doute une future version. FinderPop vient de sortir en version beta pour MacOS X!!!! C’est une nouvelle ÉNORME!!! Pour ceux qui ne s’en souviennent pas, FinderPop était un utilitaire majeur de MacOS 7/8/9 qui permettait de naviguer “au travers” des dossiers par les menus contextuels dans le Finder (et bien plus). The Omni Group – Applications – OmniWeb – Download OmniWeb 5.1.2 est tout juste sorti 🙂 L’appli comprend les localizations que Josy et moi-même avons concoctées. Il reste quelques artéfacts qui n’ont pas encore été corrigés dans la version actuelle, mais dans l’ensemble, ça devrait rester acceptable 😉 Compte tenu du temps passé sur cette appli, ça mérite célébration :-))

Améliorations d’Entourage dans la SP2
Quelques points sur lesquels je voulais m’appesantir concernant ce qu’il y a de nouveau sur Entourage 11.2 : Beaucoup plus rapide (vraiment). Support des dossiers publiques Je vois enfin les messages dans les listes 🙂 Grouper les messages par conversations pour les comptes Exchange et les newsgroups Je ne comprends pas pourquoi ça n’est que pour Exchange et les newsgroups – ça devrait aussi être pour les autres types de comptes mail.
